NightDevSolutions ("we," "our," or "us") operates the RemRoku - Smart Remote mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
Local Network Data: To discover and communicate with Roku devices connected to your local Wi-Fi network (using standard protocol discovery such as SSDP/ECP), the app scans your local network. This process runs strictly on your local device. Network IP addresses, device names, and hardware details are never collected, transmitted, or stored on any external servers operated by us.
Usage & Diagnostic Data: We may collect anonymized system diagnostics, crash logs, and feature interaction metrics (such as button press events or connection success rates) to maintain app reliability and resolve technical bugs. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
In-App Purchase & Subscription Data: Payments and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via the Google Play Store). We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or financial information. We only receive payment verification tokens from the store platform to validate active entitlements or unlock premium features.
Advertising Identifiers: If advertisements are presented in the app, third-party advertising networks may utilize mobile device identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID) to deliver contextual or personalized ads based on your system privacy settings.
Our application utilizes third-party SDKs and service providers to manage payments and app operations. These third parties handle data according to their respective privacy guidelines:
We prioritize user data protection. Because we do not store personal identification data or local network credentials on external remote databases, risks related to data breaches are minimized.
Our application is not intended for or targeted at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take swift action to erase such records.
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have specific rights regarding your data. You can manage ad-tracking permissions directly from your iOS or Android device settings.
